My channel hopping was not what I had worked or hoped for.
The BBC’s introduction of Nine, or is it more, television channels left me woefully ill prepared.
My final preparation went superbly well, watching Winbledon, and silkily switching between HD BBC 1, BBC 2 and the red button, with a confidence and a swagger, from Kerber to Kvitova, and Murray to Muguruzza I didn’t miss a thing.
But Rio ! Well that’s another story.
I’m not sure if it was the pressure that got to me, or the time difference, certainly the Zika virus was not a tangible excuse in my case, I also made life difficult for myself by introducing the added pressure of listening to Radio 5 Live commentary , whilst watching the TV feed, it was a step too far.
I would like to thank Stephen Hawking for helping me to follow and understand the Radio Times listings throughout the games.
